Kippy's clients say:

Kippy’s reliable, rock-steady approach helps me feel safe in the expressive arts therapeutic work.

I have felt changes in my perspective and my actions that never happened for me in the various types of cognitive therapy that I’d done previously.

Kippy provides a rich environment where I can follow my own creative instincts towards healing as she gently guides me towards deeper insight and integration.

Expressive Arts Therapy is a powerful yet safe way to help you in your healing journey.

In her work as an expressive arts therapist, Kippy Isham Phelps uses the arts for personal and societal change with warmth, humor, and wisdom.

Having just relocated back to Vashon Island in Puget Sound after 25 years, Kippy now offers a range of services in the Seattle area and Western Massachusetts. She has been providing consultation and workshops throughout Massachusetts and in southern Vermont and New Hampshire. She returns yearly to Massachusetts to teach and lead workshops.

Kippy provides an array of services, including individual, family and group therapy, consultation, supervision and teaching. Her focus is on assisting individuals and organizations in intertwining the arts with education and therapy to meet their personal and collective goals. She customizes workshops and groups that meet the unique needs of organizations, using the arts to address issues such as conflict, communication, and diversity. Kippy specializes in using drama to create audience participatory dialogues. Her consulting clients include human service agencies and other clinical settings, schools, and businesses. She is an Adjunct Professor at Springfield College.
